Drum Safari
Brandon and Teryn Draper met while studying percussion in college, married in 2001, and now call Kansas City, MO home. They have two daughters, Eva and Ivy, who love to join in (and often create) the family’s musical adventures. Teryn has been a teacher since 2001, and Brandon is on the music faculty at the University of Kansas, in addition to performing throughout the US. The Drapers are focused on creating and providing positive, life-changing experiences through music and creative arts for people of all ages.

During their Drum Safari high-energy, interactive performance, children are invited to join a musical “safari” where they meet different animals from all over the world each set to rhythm. After meeting the animals, each child is given a percussion instrument… and the jungle jam begins! As the rhythms of the animals lock together, an exciting sense of community begins to develop. This program includes interactive songs, dancing, and, of course, DRUMMING!
