Experience
Svensk Hyllningsfest is a celebration of our Swedish heritage, filled with music, dancing, crafts, games, and, of course, great food!
Food is a big part of the festival, and there’s plenty to enjoy. The Hungry Viking Food Court offers a variety of festival favorites, many served by local community and school groups. Be sure to try the Swedish Folk Dancers’ famous Viking on a Stick or enjoy an authentic Scandinavian feast at the Smörgåsbord.
Music and dancing bring the streets of downtown Lindsborg to life all weekend. You’ll hear traditional Swedish folk music played on fiddles, accordions, and the Nyckelharpa, a Swedish keyed harp. These sounds set the stage for folk dancers of all ages, dressed in traditional Swedish costumes. From the Folk Dance Games performed by local schoolchildren to the Swedish Folk Dancers and Folkdanslag, dance is at the heart of the festival.
The Arts & Crafts Market will once again be outdoors in true festival fashion! Over 30 artisans and craftspeople from across the Midwest, including local makers, will showcase their work under the big tents in partnership with the Red Barn Studio. You can find them in the lot just north of the Red Barn, where the Brunswick Hotel once stood.
Entertainment is everywhere at Hyllningsfest! With live music, puppet shows, joke contests, and more, there’s something for everyone. Check out one (or all) of our stages throughout the festival weekend.
Join us for a fun, welcoming celebration of Swedish heritage in the heart of Lindsborg!

Smörgåsbord
One of the best-loved events at each Hyllningsfest is the Swedish Smörgåsbord. The reason is simple – the food. Savor the Smörgåsbord, a Scandinavian feast.
