Kubb Tournament
- Play Begins: 12:30pm
- Ends: Around 5:30 – 6:30pm – Depending on number of teams
- Fee: $10 per team (2-3 person teams)
- Walk-ups day of are welcomed but prior registration preferred
Kubb, pronounced Koob, is a yard game played by two teams. The object of the game is to knock down your opponent’s Kubbs, (little blocks of wood), on the opposite side of the field by throwing a wooden baton. As the Kubbs get knocked over, they get thrown back into the field and have to get knocked down again. Once all the Kubbs are down, you can now knock down the king and win the game.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Teams will play 4 best of 1 game seeding matches. Matches will each be 25 minutes with a 5 minute break between. After the 4 seeding games, all teams will move on to the Championship Bracket. Teams that lose their first match will be placed in a Silver Bracket with a chance to win Silver Championship Trophies. The Championship Bracket will be best of 3 games, while Silver Bracket will be best of 1 game.
Also an “Intro to Kubb” course on October 17th at Hyllningsfest. Location – Behind 102 E State Street in Downtown Lindsborg from 1pm – 7pm
