The Lindsborg American Legion is a veteran-based non-profit organization that embraces all current and former members of the military and their families, and we endeavor to help them thrive in our communities. Since 1919, we celebrate all who contribute to something larger than themselves and inspire others to serve and strengthen America. We advocate for upholding and defending the U.S. Constitution, equal justice and opportunity for everyone, and discrimination against no one. We support youth education through scholarships and civic duty, teaching responsible citizenship and honoring military service by observing and participating in patriotic and memorial events. We meet the unique needs of the Smoky Valley area in many ways through volunteerism and benevolence, unbeknownst to many. We educate, mentor and lead new generations of Americans and we pay perpetual respect for all past military sacrifices to ensure they are never forgotten by new generations.
