Our Committee
Members
The Svensk Hyllningsfest Committee is composed of 16 community volunteers
who each commit up to six years to the festival effort. The committee includes two
chair-persons, secretary, treasurer, and 6 sub-committees which include: merchandising,
publicity, program, parade, arts & crafts, and smörgåsbord.

The committee also includes one ad hoc
member and
a Bethany College
representative, Beth Warren. In addition, numerous community volunteers commit many hours
in the preparation of each festival. Each committee member is assigned specific
responsibilities as assigned by job descriptions for the preparation of the biennial
festival.
The Svensk Hyllningsfest Committee is a 501c(4) not-for-profit organization pledged to
continue to preserve and provide educational opportunities associated with the
Swedish-American heritage within the Smoky Valley of Central Kansas.
The Svensk Hyllningsfest Committee is continually interested in attracting reputable
artisans, craftspersons, and entertainers to participate in the festival. If you
